Barclays – Fusion

Background
I was the Lead UX on a transformational project for the Barclays Chief Security Office, who identified their currently siloed approach to organisational security was not appropriate to deal with today’s complex security threats. Previously siloed “ vertical” teams (cyber, intelligence, physical security, resilience, fraud & investigations) were combined into one security function, which included round-the-clock global operational centres (with an 18 screen wall display). I led the UX for the design of the platform that was to be used to monitor security, and provide the tools for teams to collaborate. The designs had to scale from mobile, to desktop, to wall display (for the operational centres).
Process
My role involved researching and analysing existing processes and knowledge domains for the different types of users (executives, management, operatives, analysts); identify their key needs, and rapidly prototype solutions that solved their current needs (and new ones). Working closely with the business to iterate prototypes, refine requirements, and deliver features through our agile teams.
